His hockey sense gets questioned but in terms of natural ability and physicality, everyone knows what he can do. Right-handed, good shot from point, physical style of play, used to playing a lot of minutes. There are some holes in his game and a tendency to make the same mistakes repeatedly but he does check other boxes. Hamilton only cost is money. Someone is going to overpay for him. If the Flyers pony up the say 9M per for him what does the team look like in the fall. Probably lose 2 of 3 of Sanhiem, Myers or Ghost. Replaced by a cheaper young defenseman internally preferably

If you believe the reports, the Flyers want Jones...so thats all that matters.

Flyers could outbid other teams if the offered up Provorov or Sanheim...would also allow them to trade before the expansion draft.

Cant say I really hate that. I like the idea of finding a good spot for ghost instead of forcing a trade with him. Myers would have to step up...unless they added another RD to play in the top 4.
