I hope Brodano stays together. I think Hamilton/Russell would make a great odd couple pairing with the 7 inch height difference.

But that would leave two right shots on the third pairing. Unless Smid is healthy and replaces Engelland, I guess.

I'm hoping they trade Wideman (or Engelland; could you imagine them getting an actual return for him?). I think TSpoon will be ready for 3rd pairing duty this season.

Wideman seems to be redundant now.

I wouldn't mind packaging Byron and Wideman for a hard nosed 2nd/3rd tweener.

Anyways, so happy to have Hamilton, may have to get a new jersey because of this!

Wideman alone should be able to get a 2nd/3rd line tweener. I think he's a pretty highly rated 2nd pairing defenseman.
