BothDidn’t the St Louis Coach used to play in the NHL? Or the one from the Canes?
Wow !
Way to go Dubas
Another great signing !
Did we have to give up any high draft picks ?
Can he still play ?
We could use his guts and skill and leadership qualities
Can’t wait to see him on the ice
Not sure why blowing his knee out would make him a bad leader, if that’s what you meant?ya like that time he played 1 game..stepped on the ice, got hurt..and never played again.. leadership 101
Bring em all backGood. Maybe he can talk to the players too and instill some heart and desire.
I think it makes perfect sense. If the players continue to play soft lazy uninspired hockey with a legend behind the bench then you know it’s time to have a fire sale.I don't think so, lol. I don't like Babcock but I don't think that Gilmour is the right replacement. And let's not take leaps here. He is hired as a some community rep, in no way shape or form that means that he is ever going to be the head coach.
Unless you put him behind the bench it’s all pointlessGreat.....
Now how about the cap issues, seeming lack of desire among some key players, unsuccessful power play, and possible improvements to our goaltending.....any announcements on them?

A Donkey would be an improvement over Babcock at this point so why not try?How does it make "perfect sense" when he has never coached before and may or may not be any good at it?
Wayne Gretzky himself wasn't even a decent coach by all measures.

Dougie showed more heart in a single playoff game shift than most of this team has in an entire series. And that's not even an exaggeration.
It’s all moot anyway since Dubas would have to consult his super duper secret special flow charts before hiring the perfect coach. Why not try a dog then?
Leaves Presidency of an OHL club to become a "community representative"?
This is either essentially Gilmour retiring from his career as a hockey executive, or it's some sort of temporary title before he moves into a real role of some sorts.
So so true ...Dougie showed more heart in a single playoff game shift than most of this team has in an entire series. And that's not even an exaggeration.
