Defenders

Oliver Ekman-Larsson ($5.500M) - Alex Pietrangelo ($3.167M)
Victor Hedman ($4.000M) - Slava Voynov ($4.167M)
Sergei Gonchar ($5.000M) - Justin Faulk ($0.900M)

I'm completely in love with this defense. Got my 4 favorite defenders in the whole league, and the production should be great on every line. Counting on breakout seasons offensively by Hedman and Faulk, but even without that, I love this.

I like my forwards, too. Giroux - Staal - Ribeiro down the middle should all be at or around PPG, while my wingers are all good for 25-35 goals and 55-70 points. Kuznetsov is another huge wild card but I think it'll work out amazingly well for me. Chiasson's poised to break out this season as well.

And I still have ~22M to fill in the rest of m
bottom 6 and get a back-up. Very happy with this draft so far.

Any comments? I'll also gladly comment on anyone else's teams so far.

Gonchar was a sneaky pick, I didn't even think of him.

Overall, that's a beast d corps, but offensively I'm not sure I like it a lot - OEL and Piet seem more like two way guys and Hedman is a great shutdown defender but not amazing offensively. Giroux Staal Ribeiro is beastly though.

Fribourg is on the clock. Not sure how many should have been skipped so lets just start from Fribourg. And get this moving.

Yea, I agree. I've got four 40 point defenders though, and two more with the potential to get to 40+. But you are right.

Wow, i thought i had a really good defense but that looks absolutely amazing. Your team looks overally very good and should be near the top at the end. You also took Kuznetsov pretty early, i hoped he would have dropped since he likely won't play in NHL from the start of the season.

Very happy with my draft aswell, although i have lots of cap tied on the current players, but that won't likely be a problem because cap is currently at 85m.

JUST WANT TO PUT A REMINDERRRR, it is a 1 hour time limit now......................
If you don't make it, you will be skipped... If you don't come on within 24hrs after the skipped pick then you will get a strike!

That top 9 is disgustingly good, trick9. Rest of the team looks solid as well.

The reasoning for Kuznetsov is in hopes that this game lasts more than a year. If it does, that pick could turn out to be huge for me.

Would like to remind everyone, that we are having 25 rounds and all 25 players will count towards the $85M Cap-Hit.

Breakdown of the players: 14 Forwards, 7 Defensemen, 3 Goalies, and 1 Wild-card selection of a player of your choice. (Restriction on the Wild-card selection is that the 25th Round is the ONLY round that you may select your 4th goalie if that is your plan.)
