If Karlsson was here Norris and Timmy wouldn't be.
True, but we might still have Stone kicking around if we'd had different ownership.

One legged Karlsson, no less. He basically carried Ottawa to the conference final on 1.5 legs.Karlsson was carrying teams on his back and passing the puck to guys like Condra, Greening, Smith, and Pyatt.
I wouldn't discount the possibility. PPG is possible, but there's a lot of guys looking to eat on the team, so who knows. Karlsson didn't have Chychrun and Chabot beside/behind him and I'm curious how that will shake out. I think Jake lands at more like 60 this year if those guys are both getting ~50.
Because of the salary cap, the only place that could happen in someone’s imagination.Imagining a prime Karlsson pre-Cooke with this line-up is too depressing to contemplate.
This, and it won't be close.I don't think he'll ever overtake him in "stats".
But he may end up as the better all-around defenceman.
Karlsson really should have 4 Norris trophies. To match EK, he will need a Norris this year. And then another 2 by age 33. Possible, but a tough ask.
Only a few games in this season, but I have seen some wow moments that I haven't seen since Karlsson. I remember Karlsson's breakout 78 point season well, he was doing something spectacular every game.
Sanderson has the potential to be the best player on a cup winning team I believe. If he can be the backbone of a cup winner and win a couple Norris Trophies he will be in the same category as EK. Long way to go still. Will be fun to watch!
and Hoffman, too, if there was no InstagramTrue, but we might still have Stone kicking around if we'd had different ownership.
One is generational.
The other looks like he will win a Norris or two if all goes very, very well.
Different level EK was.
Sanderson could have better "career" with more accolades cause of the core he is going to play with.
That play where Sanderson was a step behind Oshie & caught up to him in a step or two & prevented him from even getting a shot on net right beside the crease, it was an incredible defensive play.
That WAS great. I think it really surprised Oshie too, so he threw a bit of a hissy fit.
Oshie is such a punk. He's always doing something cheap or complaining about something.
What's really impressive to me about EK's Norris trophies is the gap between all three, 2012, 2015, 2023.Overtaking him in stats? No. Ending up being a better all around defenceman? Maybe. But EK65 has 3 Norris trophies, not too many guys in the history of the league have accomplished that
