This guy is amazing - lengthy run in Nashville, then even better in Washington (ending with a Cup), and now he's turned NYI into a great team
2 Adams wins as well
2 Adams wins as well
If you count his Washington tenure it's complicated. The team had routinely competed for division titles/presidents trophies during the ovechkin Era before trotz got there so giving him credit for reg season success isn't doing much. So then you have to look at the cup win. Imo the team finally caught lightning in a bottle. All those years of being a top 3 team but never having the luck/grit/bounces/calls go there way ran out and they won one.It was decided before that run trotz was out the door and then they accidently won the cup which made things complicated. Will forver be grateful but not sure how much of it was because trotz.
What he had done in Nash and what he is doing in NY is impressive.
Trotz coached Washington for 4 seasons. He will be the greatest coach in History if he gets them to win another game this season......Isles are done....no 3 month rest for that old team this year on account of Covid. Considering the level of talent they have....He got the most out of them as he did in Nashville and he was lucky in Washington they actually had elite talent but only wanted him for one season....then he was shown the door . Soon enough Barzal will have had enough and when he quits playing....say good bye to Trotz.
You are correct...old age moment LOL . Hard work takes you a long ways...talent in the end usually wins it .Trotz coached Washington for 4 seasons.
