Kane now 108th in points scored with 913. Passed getzlaf, spezza and Gary Roberts last night. He needs 36 points in the last 24 games to pass vinnie lecavalier for the top 100. It’s hard to believe but he should pass 1000 points next year at age 31

I don't think Kaner slows down and will have a few more games where he scores 2 or more points. The PP has been on fire lately and he has been a big part off it's success whether scoring or assisting.

Pretty wild. Seems like there are more players than that who have eclipsed 900 points, but there are only 113. Cool to see how much smaller each milestone gets:

113 players with 900+
87 players with 1,000+
62 players with 1,100+
47 players with 1,200+
34 players with 1,300+
20 players with 1,400+
13 players with 1,500+

Scoring leaders at age 30 in NHL history. Kane will pass Makita in a few games at the same age.

Once again, looks at Kane's amount of games played versus some others. Guy's stayed remarkably healthy with no sign of slowing down.

Is Patrick Kane the greatest American born player ever? Better than Chelios, Leetch, LaFontaine, Modano, Roenick, Quick, Broten, etc.?

He's the greatest Russian player ever, correct? Better than any former Red Army player?

They have had some amazing NHL players, IMO, it’s debatable between Ovechkin, Malkin, Federov, Bure and Datsyuk.

They are all phenomenal players. Every fan would have a different ranking.

Quick is easily the best American netminder IMO so no reason he shouldn't be listed among greatest American players

He isn't easily the best NHL goalie ever. He is in the discussion? Sure but he is not better than Barrasso or Richter. Statistically, Vanbiesbrouck and Ryan Miller are the all-time leaders. I doubt Quick come close to catching them.

Miller is very underrated due to the Kane-Miller stuff from the past.

OV is the best Russian. Chelios is the best American. There's more to hockey than points. Turgeon is 32nd in scoring with 1327 points and he's not even in the HHoF.

There are unbreakable records. Gretzky has more assists than any other player has points.

I was hoping Kaner could have been the 88th player to reach 1000 pts(cus he's #88 duh) but that honour went to Malkin...he who's injured all the time...Eric Staal(from my home town Thunder Bay)is the only active player ahead of Kaner nearing 1000 pts...Staal entered the season with 974 Kane with 938, 36 pts back, Kaner has made up 6 pts but it'll be pretty hard to beat Staal to 1000...

Currently Eric Staal has 988, Patrick Kane 958
