Let’s check in and see how things are going for Arsenal on the first day of the season.

With or without those 2 I think today is going to point to where Arsenal's season is headed. This Brentford squad is a team they should clearly beat, and if we see another 1-0 lead limping into the 70th minute only to be surrendered by some stupid defensive breakdown, "same old shit" is on the menu for ARS fans and most will suspect that. Faith in Arteta will erode quickly, imo.

Seems like it's going to be a long season for Arsenal. They usually atleast start the season on the right foot before eventually fading away.

But that line-up... it's really bad. Everything would need to work to perfection to finish top-6. Certainly doesn't start well with Aubameyang and Lacazette both out.

Arsenal fan for sure... Leads got thrashed at Old Trafford year ago too, didn't stop them elsewhere.

Meanwhile in Germany... Haaland starts the season. 3 goals in the last friendly game before the season and once the season starts... goal and 2 assists in the first 45 minutes. He's so good it's ridiculous and he just turned 21 in july.
