No way it was goaltender interference. But, as the review kept dragging on and on, the odds were the call was going to be reversed. The league should really set a time limit on this sort of thing. If they can't find definitive evidence to overturn a call within 30 seconds, the call should stand.

EDIT: Make it 60 seconds.

eh...if it’s going to be reviewed, they should take their time and get it right. they didn’t get it right in this case, but usually they’re pretty good. i wouldn’t want to see a time limit

The waived off goal was literally one of the most awful calls I have ever seen at a live NHL game. All my friends at the game who aren't Sabres fans couldn't believe how ridiculous it was. But actually the officiating incompetence may have done us a huge favor. If we win Hughes they need to put a statue of that iPad next to the ones of the French Connection outside the arena.

Would be MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF "EPIC" if the Devils and Sabres end up with the #1 and #2 picks (either way) respectively. What a Troll to the League that would be.

Hughes/Kakko to either team would be immense.

So it is certainly encouraging, but he needs to find consistency, and he needs to stay healthy.
