Eh, I dislike the Flyers and Gudas specifically, but I don't think it was suspension-worthy. I don't think he was thinking "Oh I'm gonna leave the play and just light someone up." He make a quick cut to avoid his own player and at this point a collision was inevitable I believe. Everything up to this point was unintentional in my opinion. Now, at this point, he had two choices. 1) Ease up a bit to make the collision less catastrophic (which is kinda what Palms did) or 2) channel his inner ******* and say, "screw it, we are going to collide anyway so I might as well put some effort into it."

Gudas obviously picked option 2, probably because he is an *******. So it was a mix of unintentional and intentional. But, again, I don't think it was suspension worthy.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I saw it. But if Hall got a fine, you would Gudas would get at least a fine.

The Devils didn't respond like they thought it was accidental. And I believe the guys on the ice and the benches are in the best position to judge.

Guys get into fights over clean hits virtually every game.

 I might need an emotional pet to get me through this one. Just something I found amusing is all. Have a great day.

What if my peacock gets too emotional from my emotions, do I get an emotional pet for my emotional pet?

  1. Pre-heat oven to 165C.
  2. Dust large oven bag with flour. ...
  3. Rub bird outer skin with butter.
  4. Season with pepper and salt.
  5. Drape with rindless bacon.
  6. Place bird into bag, on top of onion and celery layer.
  7. Seal bag, then make four or five small vent holes in top of bag.
  8. Cook for 3 hours.
  9. Get a cat or dog.

He made a quick cut towards his own player. Either he is a reckless idiot and somehow didn’t see Simmonds until the last second, which is unlikely.

Or he knew Palms was there and did a quick cut to truck him because he is a goon.

look at his head. he was watching the puck, meaning he was not looking at palms or simmonds. then he cut back to either go for a line change or get back on defense where he belonged, saw a collision coming and literally tried to jump out of the way. it wasn't a smart play, and he made contact with palms so it was rightfully a penalty. but i've watched it like 20 times, and it simply doesn't warrant a suspension.

Because it's Gudas it's kind of hard to give him the benefit of the doubt. Personally I think it was more just him being reckless than it was an intentional attempt to hurt Palmieri.

Still, it's something that needed to be answered given how things have gone lately, and having one of the vets (and least likely to fight) do it was absolutely huge.

I hate gudas as much as anyone. but that isn’t a suspension-worthy hit. it was accidental. the flyer next to palms saw it coming and pushed off, leaving palms right in his path. if it was tyler johnson, it would’ve been fine, but because gudas is built like a stupid ape, palms got rocked. it happens.

Ken Daneyko, is that you?

Doesn't matter if it was intentional or not. He left his feet and SHOULD get a call from the league.

He's both a reckless idiot and a goon, so who knows on this one.

I find Steve and Dano extra annoying this year.

Dano I think has gotten better. Not that his voice is any better but he's not holding back his opinions anymore and blossoming so to speak...as more of a full blown homer. Which I kind of like after Chico.

I feel like with Dano, one of these days he's gonna go ''What a f***in terrible call'' right when they go to break, but he'll still be on the air and not realize it.

I've noticed a few times recently where they'll go to break, but you'll still hear him say a word or two before the telecast cuts off. I feel like one of these days he's gonna get caught blasting the officials before it goes off completely. He's really been criticizing them a lot lately, but in a respectable way, that's not too out of control haha. At least not on air.
