I was at game yesterday so i assumed i hadnt seen any MSG interviews (except post game)... And i sure as hell didnt hear much during the live interview during 3 stars in arena with the noise...which led me to remmeber the only other place was buffalo game.

I swore somebody had a hat trick since then, I SWORE someone else did.
First one that came to mind was Miles Wood, but that was actually a year before that. It was back in the Taylor Hall MVP/playoff year in Chicago.
Palmieri didn't have one in either 18-19 or 19-20?
Palmieri did have a hat trick on October 30th of 2019. I don't know why they're saying that Boyle's was the last Devils hat trick. That's not true.
Palmieri's was also at home and Boyle's was on the road, so I know it couldn't have been ''First Devils hat trick at home since 18-19''.

Is it just me or does Severson seem to be mopping a little this year. We are crushing it and he seems like he is “ meh” . When he was one of the top dogs he seemed to be joking around , laughing , happier looking .
To me it seems like the locker room is Jack and the young unmarried guys that look like frat kids and then the others that are more reserved ? I’m not saying it’s bad at all but just something that it looks like to me .
I always think back to how Zajac said he felt like he didn’t really fit in with the young guys in the room ( or sonething simular to that )

I don't think he's moping, but he's certainly had to adjust to a reduced role this year. Going from the #1 on the team the last 3-4 years to basically the #4-#5.
And between the expiring contract, Marino addition, being at the salary cap and then his reduced role, I think he knows this is his swan song here.

as for recent hat tricks (of the non-natural variety), yegor had one in april last year (we lost) and coleman had one in 2020 (we lost), and we also lost that palmieri one.

That was just the last ''Natural hat trick'' got it. Now I understand.
And yeah, I thought I remembered a Yegor hat trick last year, but I can't even remember who it was against or anything else about that game.
Ohhhhhhh, it was in the game where we blew a 4 goal lead to the Panthers in one period with Andrew Hammond and lost 7-6 in OT.

I mean..it's kind of sporadic the moments when he's genuinely happy.
Maybe it's a combo of him being exhausted and/or the contract issues continously weighing on his mind.
