So surprising. And that's why you don't give 31 year olds long term deals.

Groin injury in your 30s...probably at least a year for him to feel okay, but probably never back to 100%.

Can't catch a break, if his injury is something more substantial.

We have depth to cover, but its not the same. His game is really needed on this team.

That being said, if this showcases how good Zetterlund really can be, at least make decisions to not have him/Boq/Holtz fight for the last spot. Just send Holtz down let him try to work it out again in AHL, and let Zetts/Boq kinda duel out that depth spot.
Seems like every new player we get from UFA or trade gets injured the first year.

Meyers the guy who did all of Elias's groin surgeries and is considered 'the guy' to go to for this sort of work. He specializes in sports hernia surgery but also does some other miscellaneous groin surgeries. He also did Schneider's groin surgery, for whatever that's worth.

If it is indeed a sports hernia the timeline for that is usually 6-12 weeks.

I'm guessing he will vanish until sometime in late December/early January when he starts skating again.
I want this on his business card:

William Meyers - MD
Specializing in Sports Hernias and Miscellaneous Groins

I’ll take Palat being out ends up being a net positive as the Devils discover Zetterlund can be a complimentary top 6 wing that brings a unique dimension to the Devils.

Continued from my last conversation from the other thread :

Meh.

McLeod doesn't seem fast to me.

Maybe Wood has ruined my eyesight with his blazing speed that makes anyone look like a traffic cone but hey...to each his own.

If you all believe McLeod is fast, who am I to try to convince you otherwise? :dunno:

Maybe it is in comparison. Wood is really fast and McLeod is decently fast.:sarcasm:

btw, the Devils can survive without Palat for the time being.

Him coming back later in the year is like a Trade-Deadline acquisition, though.
