JJ has truly superior speed and skating skills. His first move has always been to carry the puck up ice along the boards. I've always felt that he needs to become more comfortable - as a center ice man - finding the soft spots in the middle of the rink, slowing down when necessary, circling back, looking for the guys coming in late. Using his skating to find some space and time, playing keep away a little to let a play develop.

Bobby has made other anti NJ and anti Devils comments.
He's never coming here and I don't want him too either.
Scott Stevens made them too before he came here.
Until they're here, they have no clue about this place. I'm not advocating for a Bobby Ryan move because I tend to agree, he probably will not ever be a Devil, but if the situation arose where we traded for him or signed him, you'd change your tune quickly, as could he. Just like Scotty Stevens did.

I don't really follow Ryan, so I honestly wouldn't know what his history of comments is on the Devils or the state of NJ, but as you say, he's not likely to come here, so it really doesn't bother me either way.

) but I do remember Ryan shanking an open net scoring chance vs us as time was expiring last season in Newark.

You might be right about him just being flip on Twitter, but just curious why exactly does it matter that much to you what people here think of Bobby Ryan (who's not a Devil and probably won't be anytime soon)?
And people are probably predisposed to think the worst vis-a-vis him bashing NJ cause he was a Flyers fan growing up fwiw. Either way it's just another reason why I'm not looking forward to a 'new era' on Twitter with the Devils, nothing good comes from any player taking on Twitter whiners.

I don't think Shero will do it because my guess is he will want s center coming back (and not Bozak) and the price for Kadri might end to to much for his liking.

Shero would hang the phone up. Exactly why this won't happen. Lou isn't stupid to send Kadri or JVR for just Zajac and spare parts, and Shero isn't dumb enough to give up Zajac and some of the few valuable futures we have we currently have.

Well at least these rumors give us something to talk about, but the media is just trying to squeeze blood from a stone with this one, in my opinion.
This entire thing was started in Friedman's 30 Thoughts blog where he said

Remember when people thought Chiarelli was going to trade for Douggie Hamilton and Milan Lucic once he got to Edmonton? There's no sense in just connecting former players and GM's together for a trade to happen simply because they used to work together.
That being said, if a trade does come together, I'm hoping Shero does the right thing.
I love seeing the opportunity for Leaf fans on the trade board to step up on their pedestal to preach about how Zajac is a black hole of a contract and a 4th line center at best...god I hate that place (the trade board...Toronto is a beautiful city)

Doubt santini is going to beat out Larsson or Severson for a spot in the top 4. Would be fine with trading him if it meant getting back something for Zajac. Come on Lou do us a solid and give us Kadri. They can sign Stamkos next year and have Stamkos-Zajac-Bozak down the middle with JVR, Nylander and Marner on the wings. Bam rebuild complete.
