Teams usually have nameplates for players expected to go in the first/second rounds. And then have other plates for sleepers they hope to draft in later rounds at times.
86 indeedNo idea what number Boqvist will wear, but little birdy told me Hughes may wear #86.
who is your birdyNo idea what number Boqvist will wear, but little birdy told me Hughes may wear #86.
(I know he wore #43 before, so am guessing 2x43, otherwise have no idea how #86 came about. Maybe he is a Mets/Giants fan).
The X factor is Jesper Boqvist. The smooth-skating 20-year-old left wing is making the leap from Sweden this season. Where he ultimately slots in will likely be determined by how quickly he adjusts to the North American game.
Devils GM Ray Shero is quite high on him. "Every team I get into [discussions] on a trade, they ask for Boqvist. So that tells me we shouldn't trade Boqvist," he said.
