I visited my cousin in Southern California one year for Thanksgiving. It was 60 degrees out. People were wearing boots and fleece and gloves, and the stores at the mall were playing Christmas music about the weather being "frightful".

Meanwhile, my brother and I are walking around in tshirts.

I could never live in a place without proper seasons.

Its almost as bad in Florida. It makes no sense......half the people down there are from the Northeast. My Mom came up to visit once and it was like 45 degrees one night. We found her nearly dead of hypothermia and had to throw her into a hot shower to save her life.

I could never live in a place without proper seasons.

I think it's an aging thing. When I was younger, before the end of the younger dryas, I could walk around in a sweatshirt of some sort with a t-shirt underneath in a pair of jeans and sneakers down to about 40 degrees. Now, I'm riding my bike with a t-shirt a cycling jersey and a light cycling jacket over that at 45 degrees. I don't think it's as simple as moving to a place where it isn't 45 degrees that often.
