If Timo signs I’ll have to expand the pic and get a dragon schlong photoshopped on with his face on it.Yeah, the three headed monster lives!!
Makes sense, seems they both need a change of scenerySharangovich <--> Colton?
Sharangovich is younger and has already had a better season than Colton on a worse team.Sharangovich <--> Colton?
the question is, is there even room for him in top 6? if we can't use him effectively, then we might as well move on and get a solid 2/3 winger, which i assume colton could step in forSharangovich is younger and has already had a better season than Colton on a worse team.
I’d rather keep Sharangovich for cheap, put him next to Hischier and Bratt (now we’re on-topic again!) for a season and reap the rewards.
Sharangovich is slated to get a comparable aav, I think, so depends on how accurate that is.Sharangovich <--> Colton?
Excellent pointThere is no more responsibility to the NHLPA because of the salary cap and escrow. Taking less money just means someone else in the PA gets more. If this happens across the league, it means everyone gets paid more based on cost certainty - if salaries naturally fall below 50% of revenue, the league will pay out the difference.
You're right, I was wrong. Happy to be wrong.
Real weird bird shit that the team does something good and the first thing you can think of is me. Glad I occupy that much real estate in your head though.
my bad - i should've mentioned i meant just taking out shara and replacing him w colton, not via tradeSharangovich is slated to get a comparable aav, I think, so depends on how accurate that is.
Doesn't make sense for tampa if there's no savings.
I don't have access to evolving hockey's numbers directly, but the contracts I saw for each were 3 x 3.55 for Rango and 4 x 3.35 for Colton.
Lebrun says Bratt and his agent pushed for a long term deal over 8 million/year, but Devils held firm on getting him under Hughes deal. I wonder where they draw the line with Timo

Timo is older has a much longer record and is a goal scorer with 2 40 goal season and 4 30 goal seasons. Im not sure you can even compare him to Jack. Plus he is about to his UFA.
I dont think they can draw the same line with Timo that they could with Bratt.
I think Bratt is better but understand Timo will make more. I wonder how close Fitz can get Meier to 8.Timo is older has a much longer record and is a goal scorer with 2 40 goal season and 4 30 goal seasons. Im not sure you can even compare him to Jack. Plus he is about to his UFA.

He was "threatened" that he would be dealt (probably to Winnipeg).Wow, Bratt surely knew he’d be traded if he filed for arb. He likely gave up millions to stay. I don’t remember an established star giving the Devils a break like this since Elias. Am I forgetting anyone?

You post in here multiple times a day every single day and have some of the most inaccurate takes of all time so it's pretty easy to think of you and how far off you are from reality when a signing like this happens.
The fact that you thought the Devils would be okay with signing Bratt to a contract that starts with $9 million is just absurd.
He was signing here for less than Hughes or he was being traded, those have been and always were the only options.
And for Meier - the contract will be in the 8s. The Devils would trade him before signing him to a contract that is $9 million or more.
i’m trying to find it now, but did anyone else see the clip of Daneyko with EJ and Rupp where he said this offer had been on the table for awhile? That certainly makes it sound like Fitz dropped an ultimatum.
that Bratt take was from October when he was on pace for 100+ points.
For someone who posts the worst trades I have ever seen, as seen by me, multiple posters on this board, and multiple posters of other fans...I find this entire thing hilarious. Your takes are bad and you have some sort of weird obsession with me. Seek help!
I like how you KNEW Bratt was ALWAYS signing below $8/year, and you KNOW that Meier will get more than Hughes. Seems kind of weird to draw that (made up) line, huh?
Are you actually patting yourself on the back? You mean the trade propositions that have generally been accurate? Like the Meier trade where I proposed the 2023 1st + Muhkamadullin + Holtz as the offer? (San Jose substituted Holtz for Zetterlund and Okhotiuk)
And yes, Meier will get more than Hughes on an 8 year deal. and it will get done before August. 8 years, 8.25 - 8.9 AAV.
