We need to discuss these trash Fanatic hats some of them were wearing in the post-game interviews.

That’s “New Jersey” in red/white with a black stripe through the middle. What a mess, it took me a while to figure out what was actually happening on the front.

Fanatics is an absolute joke of a company and produces trash products across all of their sports contracts. Just absurdly bad designs, production, and quality controls

You're eyes are not tricking you.

That the NHL is letting that goal stand as Palat's proves that Instant Replay isn't infallible.

I don't think Bratt's the type of person who would really care all that much if he did or didn't get the goal so long as someone on his team did.

But as a fan that would like some semblance of FAIRNESS here, I found it unfair that it wasn't his goal when it clearly showed that it was but no one bothered to look closely at it.

Bratt was robbed of his 11th of the season and having a 2-point night (1G, 1A) but it is what it is.

Life is Life and will move on.

So while i was cranky about getting dominated in the 3rd. But some good takeaways:

Akira did play extremely well.
Nemec looked great. He's also taller than I remembered (though not tall overall).

The puck went past Palat's stick and seemingly deflected into goal from the area where Bratt was standing.

If the goal was Palat's, I would not be questioning it like this.

Devils looked slow and not ready last night... very late start against and desperate team but we got an all star performance from the goalie:

a handful of guys played ok last night and one guy played outstanding ( akira) will take the 2 pts and move on, but that was a real ugly win.

The mercer/meier/holtz line needs to be broken up, get mercer off center.. i would switch him and huala at this point. mercer at center doesn't look good. The defense also needs to be more patient in dzone... they were putting everything up the wall last night and it wasn't working seems they got the memo halfway through the third and started to go up the middle a bit more to relieve pressure. The game plan against NJ is out.... dump it in and pressure the d on heavy forecheck.. hopefully it was just a matter of the oppenent have better skating legs last night,, but that shit needs to get cleaned up.

I think the key is that a guy who just signed an 8 year deal doesn’t have to worry about a lucky goal being credited incorrectly.

I bet someone on the Devils would have said something if Bratt was going to be a free agent next year.

Yeah....that definitely hit Bratt's right skate.

Look also where the puck is (in terms of the crease from the first picture to the 2nd one).

That puck was going wide if it wasn't for Bratt's skate being there.

Unless the devils have changed how they handle merch in the last 12 months, no. For a regular post-game they can wear whatever they want as long as it doesn’t display the brand of a non-affiliated company.

Nemec going from 3 straight pointless AHL games and being used as the 7D to 3 pts in 3 NHL games on the top pair is so funny. I wonder how much weight there is to the theory that highly talented players like that are better in the NHL even though they’re facing higher competition because they’re with teammates who are better and can think and play the game like them.
