Just watched the highlights. Thrilled for the win. Love that save by Vitek. Happy Willman scored but that number needs to go if he’s going to stick around.

Who wore that number before?

He’s referring to this former #11 Devils legend of course:

I watched Timo literally win a game almost on his own (with help from Karlsson) in Tampa last season in one of his last games with the Sharks.

Guy stole the game for the Sharks. Karlsson probably helped. They each had 3 points and Timo had 2 goals and the OT winner. That 4-3 win is like a 5-0 loss with the Sharks team of this year. If not potential 10-0 lol. It was a 6-0 loss when I went a couple weeks ago lol.

If he can steal points with that shitful team (the season Karlsson had also stole them just too many points. f*** those two guys, they really should have Bedard right now lol) then you know he can steal a few with this team, which is still far superior to that dreg even without Jack and Nico.

reporter to Lazar

Reporter: Marino contributed to both your goals

Lazar: Yeah my sons happy because Marino is his favorite player.

Reporter: Whats your sons rationale behind that

Lazar: Me and my family drove him to one of our games so he got a full dose of the family, Think it spooked Marino a bit.

Timo had two plays this game that could have changed the game for the better. The 1st is the shot off the point. He buries that 9 out of 10 times. The other was that really slick play where he got a clean shot from the point. That was the best I've seen him puck handle.
And it looked like the goalie lucked out on the save on that second chance you described. Sounded like it hit the knob of the stick

I mean, sure he wore it too.

I associate the number #11 with the real legends who wore it tho.

Am I missing something?

Willman is wearing #46, right?

I was asking who wore #46 before because @BostonDevil said that number (which I thought he was referring to #46 that Willman wore) had to go.

What does the #11 have to do with anything?

Doesn't Tierney wear that number?

There is no denying it, Lazar always has something interesting to say and has positive delivery.

I have a soft spot for lower pay grade / underdog players that bring extra angle to things. Probably most feel like this.

One of my favorite hockey players has been Taylor Hall. He is now with Chicago after Boston traded him for a salary dump. He was out a couple of the 11 games, due to injuries, that the Blackhawks have played but here he is scoring the first goal of the night (his second of the season) against the team that he was with when he won the MVP of the Year in the NHL. Way to go Taylor. He is on the Blackhawk's first line with the potential star rookies Connor Bedard and Ryan Donato. That line has produced well during the 11 games while Taylor is in his twilight years and Bedard is a young kid. Nice this happens in the NHL, the youth learn from the aging.

Of course, I am glad the Devils outscored the Blackhawks while some other favorites of mine (Nico and Jack) were out because of injuries. The Devil's offense is deep.

I hope Nico and Jack are back soon they mean so much to the Devils team.

Players only meeting? Why? They had some good pressure even at the end to tie the game. They're not a skilled lineup and I didn't see anything that would have me screaming in anger at anyone other than MGT on that effort.

Perhaps it was more about the 2nd lawsuit about the upcoming press shit storm on the harassment charges.

WTF was Timo doing on that second GA?

I don't think he's hit his stride yet with us since the trade...but...I'm not sure he's the "gamebreaker" people thought we were getting. He seems more like a very high end grinder...kind of like a Zach Parise but with a bit less skill and defense and definitely less enthusiasm lol. He was basically a point-per-game guy in SJ while being "the man" right? Having to share a puck with the likes of Hughes and Bratt and surrounded by plenty of other guys are talented...him getting ~70 points seems about right to me. He's well on his way to that.

I mean...the people who thought he was...never watched him. He's not a superstar. He is not a grinder either though.
