Smith will be better than Fox, I would have said that going into the season. As for Hughes, it's tough to compare him and Smith since they are very different players. It's tough to replicate Hughes' pure offensive explosiveness, and Hughes certainly is encouraged to take risks other defensemen are not as a result.

LOL I probably had about 18 users on ‘mute’ before becoming a mod. But yeah openly talking about ignore lists and forced ignores are a nono, especially since it’s really an insult of someone to tell the rest of the board you have them on ignore or encourage others to do the same.
Palmieri has been inconsistent on his RW and the LW for Hughes has been a revolving door of mediocrity. Hughes has been unreal but would really benefit from consistent scoring threats on his wings.

Most of the time I browse this forum with avatars turned off (since I'm usually browsing at work and I'd rather not attract attention that I'm slacking off) so I don't really get to build a hate list even though I've read this board for 13 years now. There are definitely certain posters that become unbearable with the emotional hot takes when things go bad though.
I get that sports are much more fun when you have emotion invested, but when you have awful teams on the ice like we did 4 out of the last 5 years, you have to start de-prioritizing watching this team for your own mental health instead of taking out your anger on the easy targets. Yeah I get that people like Rooney, Merrill, Lovejoy, and pre-2021 Zacha sucked, but I don't see the point of ragging on them over and over.
