Backstrom-Johansson sucks, and Backstrom-Brouwer sucks.

Kuz in a top 6 W role solves 90% of the problems with the lineup

I dunno, there's a lot to be said for playing with more skilled linemates, but I think for the sake of Kuz's own career and for the Caps long term, it's really valuable for him to get experience at center.

And I don't exclude the possibility that ultimately Ovi, Backstrom and Kuz would be most effective on separate lines, because at this point I have reservations about overall energy levels if any two of them were to be on the same line. Of course, that doesn't mean that I am against trying it -- by all means.

I'm feeling like those lines could be feast of famine. I could see things suddenly clicking for a lot of those players, or devolving into defensive malaise especially for the 2nd and 3rd.

Anything that takes the forwards out of their comfort level is positive IMO.

I can't wait for the day where Beagle isn't weighing down a line with a player on it that I really want to see succeed.

He killed Tom Wilson's line, with help from Volpatti. He killed Ovechkin's line. He killed Burakovsky's line. Now he's killing Kuznetsov's line.

Kuzy has been playing responsible defense and has also been retrieving pucks pretty well. Just put a 8-19-92 line together and be done with it.

Wow. These teams are statistically identical after 8 games more or less.

Wow they just TRASHED Semin on the pre-game show. lmao... Poor guy, even seemed to insinuate that McPhee's one year contracts with him were smart. :D

yeah, but listening to these two *******s on TV you wouldn't know it... its Zetterberg's precision and Datsuyk's wizardry (and i like them both),obviously a contending team, on the other hand - the Caps, a redheaded stepchild again... meanwhile, the records are identical...

Wings board apparently doesn't realize we are no longer coached by Adam Oates

Of course Pierre would focus on the fact that two former Pittsburgh players is what's making the Caps better. Trotz has nothing to do with it.
