wow detroit has a terrible pp%

I think they may have the best PK in the league though. 6.7% PP is definitely the worst in the league but 96.2% PK is ridiculous even if it very early in the season.

Feeling lazy and not really bothered to check anything, but is Datsyuk healthy already?

Interesting line-up...

at the moment it looks like line assignments are being based almost entirely on merit shown on the ice in recent play. Which is the complete opposite of what Adam Oates used to do: demote the better players for whatever reason.

Glad to see Wilson back in the lineup and hope he shakes off the rust.

Lines are fine. Only concern is the Backstrom/Brouwer combo which brings both players down for some reason.

Teams seem pretty evenly matched in terms of their start to the season.

Why is this a rivalry game? I don't understand NBCSNs criteria for this.

In a rematch of some Stanley Cup series from the 90s!!!!

Seriously, rivalry?

Anyway, I love that top line. Burakovsky + Ovechkin with Ward crashing the net cleaning up the dirt. Yes.

Same conference and both are bubble playoff teams, i guess that is enough.

In all honesty, not like this is the only ''Wednesday night rivalry'' game that actually isn't even close to rivalry.

bubble playoff teams? last season? to call any team a bubble playoff team at this point is kind of silly.

Yes, he is. You didn't see that goal he scored and then got robed by the refs in his return a few days ago?

Tom Wilson early on the ice with Volpatti/Hillen to help shoot during goalie work.

Don't know what this might mean, maybe nothing.

Woah, Fehr 'bout to go from looking awesome on the 1st line, to centering 3rd line to being benched.

Normally Ovechkin and Backstrom get about 20 min, will they still get that now when they play in different lines? So will it be 2 "first" lines now when Backstrom and Ovechkin plays in different lines?

But yes interesting lines, see how it goes.
