Paul Romanuk: Often mistakes players for each other, rarely calls the play as it unfolds. Likes to ask his coloring guys idiotic questions.

Flyers:
Jim Jackson: Was good at one time, but is now a shill for Comcast
Keith Jones: Shill for Comcast
Bill Clement: Shill for Comcast, never says anything bad about the Flyers
Chris Therien: The village idiot since Steve Coates got demoted to radio.

Pat Foley (TV): Great early in his career. He's too salty with old age and definitely has his favorites. When he was doing the simulcast (radio / TV), he was far better. It made him focus on the game. His rant on Karpovtsev (RIP) was classic though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iviLY1RvNc

Eddie Olczyk (TV): Good person, knowledgeable. But he too has his favorites. He's not great ... but not terrible. Some people will disagree.

Dennis Beyak (guy in avatar) - Just a good old Manitoba boy. Impossible to be more of a white guy, probably terrible at dancing and likes a good brandy while discussing the weather.

Shane Hnidy - Former enforcer defenceman from small town Manitoba (neepawa), excellent understanding of both players and hockey.

THE finest broadcasting crew in hockey imo

Can this be who we wish our broadcasters were? I LOVE Dallas's announcers. Every game against them I'll watch the away broadcast.

Guys are an absolute treasure. At least from an outsiders perspective.

As a Canucks fan

Garret: Yes...Yes
Shorthouse: Actually pretty solid a lot better than most

edit: can someone help me embed this video

Joe Beninati: Has 100 different ways to describe the same way, only to end with his famous "SCOOOAAARR" on every Capitals goal. Gives a lot of praise to the opposition's top player usually, even goes out of his way to do so.

Craig Laughlin: Locker the homer, and his annoying voice. He makes me laugh when he ridiculously exaggerates all the positive things that Caps players do. Otherwise, he ruins Joe B's work, except when they make jokes on each other.

Sam Rosen: legend
Joe Micheletti: rangers fans get on joe, but he knows what he's talking about. Of course he fluffs up some of the rangers players, what do people expect? That's what he's paid to do. Otherwise, hes very knowledgeable about players that arent on the rangers
John Giannone: okay backup.
Dave Maloney: excellent analyst. I like joe, but Maloney is very, very good.

Best broadcasting team in hockey and it isn't even close.

Play-by-play
Jim Jackson: Very good but lacks an iconic voice

Color Commentary
Bill Clement: Entertaining, but has become a Flyers homer
Keith Jones: Very solid

Inbetween Benches
Chris Therien: Pretty good

Radio
Tim Saunders: One of the best in the business
Steve Coates: Complete and total buffoon but loveable

Jack Edwards - calm and impartial..........................................not

As a hab fan, he is my favourite commentator across the league. As over the top as it is, I absolutely adore this goal call.

Jack Edwards needs to be shot into deep space never to return

His "DISPUTE THAT!!!!" goal call last night when Boston scored after having a goal of theirs waved off made me want to slam my head through my TV screen
