Actually now that I think about it, if you are going separate Braun from Vlasic, it may be ideal to put Irwin with Vlasic.

I'd take all 3 of those d-corps.

I'm surprised the Ducks haven't landed a #2 or #3. That would put them up there with the other 3. The Bolts D should be pretty good, too. Rangers and Habs, maybe.

Ducks don't need to spend their young assets. Just let one of their many prospects develop into the #2 role.

I think the defense will be okay, though they could really use a Johnny Oduya level guy. Hopefully we can poach a cap casualty who is a good 4/5 who also provides a fit.

Vlasic-Burns
Kid/Irwin-Braun
Oduya-Demers
Hannan

Surprisingly, I am a bit more concerned about the forwards. With Havlat gone and Burns back to defense, our forward depth is much weaker than I had expected. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Havlat to go, though I am a bit miffed we aren't using the cap space for anything.

Hertl-Thornton-Pavelski, Marleau-Couture-Nieto, as a unit, lacks speed (obviously, the latter line is very fast). Pavelski-Wingels on the third line, was dynamite.
