I dont buy into the DLR rumors MB must love him to death
Or maybe DLR stole Larry's gig and Eller is out?
So he'll end up being Eller version 2.0 that so many people here already complain about is what you're saying?
I think we're jumping ahead of ourselves here. How many games has DLR played this season? He's how old?
I think it's probably safe to say that DLR isn't going anywhere but I don't think we can say that DLR is pushing Eller out the door...yet. Maybe in a year or two.
lol its weird but i think we know EXACTLY what we have in DLR
and i swear to god if they trade eller over you know who i dont know what ill do
i guess it depends on the return but come ON
id rather have Galchenyuk, Eller, De La Rose as the 1 2 3 centers of the future instead of... well ill just get flamed for saying it so who cares, DD lovers can have their night tonight.
I'm sorry, but the reason why they would trade Eller over "you know who" is because of trade value.
Let's see: 5'7" midget playmaker who scores at a 40-55ish point pace or a 6'2" defensive specialist who scores at a 30-40 point pace.
It's unfortunate but given the fact that DD is making 3.5 million a year, 40-55ish points is actually a steal of a deal people, even if YOU think he's taking up someone's spot on the C depth chart (which he isn't right now).
It sure seems like it takes a lucky bounce or a screened tip to beat him this year. It's been a long time since I've seen a goalie this locked in. Rinne is having a hell of a year, but he's so scrambly and it always feels like he's making saves by the skin of his teeth while Price is just so ho hum.
For that reason, I think he deserves the Vezina but goalies who make saves look hard and have to be acrobatic tend to get more hype.
I would think the GMs (who scout games and know a lot of hockey themselves) might be able to differentiate. But i think you're right about the "acrobatic hype".
There were at least three two on ones in the first half of that game. He made several key stops.
He looked like he was moving a little gingerly on that leg, I thought he might be hurt.
DD did nothing all game and fell a lot. But he scored the goal so who cares really?
Did anyone not see the first goal?
He got beat clean on a half-screened wrister that was perfectly placed.
I'm sorry but Matt Read made a really great scoring play.
Typical Habs post game thread :
-Intense discussion on the future of David Desharnais.
-Trade proposals involving 2nd round picks and a prospect
-Debate on the identity of said prospect & trade target
-Out of town talk
Post of the past half year.
I just checked out the NHL leader board and a couple of Habs are on there.
Price now leads the NHL with a 2.00 GAA and save % of .933 and
Pacioretty is an NHL leading +29 on the season.
Remember a couple months ago when Damien Cox tweeted the Leafs were only 3 points behind Montreal in the standings?
Yah....
Where Phil Kessel at?
I remember last year and the lockout year, all my Maple Leaf friends on facebook were telling me how great Kessel is and Pacioretty sucks or something.
LOL.
and have Malhotra back on 4th line C and huh... 19 yo rookie DLR as 3rd line C shutting down the Malkin, Stamkos and co ?
You're telling me that Eller shut down Stamkos and Krejci last year? You sure it wasn't Pleks?
PROVE IT.
Naw, he's just not a very good hockey player who most often holds us back, but on occasion does stuff like this.
How does he hold us back? Man for a guy his size and salary, he actually overperforms.
At this point in time, he isn't taking up anyone's spot on the depth chart. Chucky and MT say Chucky isn't ready for #1C, so how is he holding us back?
Can we at least say rational and realistic things on here?
Oh wait...this is HF
