Based on last season I'd say he's a downgrade on pretty much anyone bar Martin Jones.

But he'll get 5 games, so we may not even notice him.

You either will or will want to. I can't believe they looked at a backup that forced Saros to be run into the ground and said "I want that" for Helle.

Goalies playing both back to backs had a save % of something like .884 and Rittich had .886 last year. I.e., bad enough such that Saros would actually play both and it was actually justifiable from a statistical standpoint. A bad goalie who should be in Europe or the AHL.
