I think Europe is my first choice for him but I'm not against the AHL.
I'd just prefer Europe because then the team has less opportunity to rush him to the NHL.

I wonder if he signed his name only as David 
Excellent. Europe this year....AHL next. If he continues his growth, outside shot at the show next year or perhaps call up mid-year.

dont know much about the swiss league but i woudlnt mind him in Laval under our coaches and Adam Nicholas

I'm not going to pretend to know if the AHL or staying in the Swiss leagues (or wherever) are better for his development, but it'll be nice to not rush a top pick to the NHL for once.

From the sounds of it he actually has a really good NL coach who believes in him and his development. I think it's a perfect environment for next year.

Moritz Seider stayed in Europe one more year after being drafted 6th overall. Keep Reinbacher in Kloten for sure.

Both leagues are pretty similar but The big difference for me is rink size... I think the AHL is better for him for that reason.

Seider was drafted in 2019 - spent 19-20 season in AHL with Grand Rapids then went home due to Covid and was stuck in Europe resorting to playing SEL for 20-21 season - Yzerman wanted him back in NA but couldn’t make it work
IMO HuGo will use Seider as Orville Redenbacher’s development blueprint ..

He actually came over to Grand Rapids in his D+1 and then went over to Sweden in his D+2
He said he would let the team decide what was best for him.............either way we do not need to rush this kid, which is why they call these developing years...
We have the back end coming along nicely, with DR, LM, and LH to go with Guhlie.
Our D is going to be set for years....
Our forwards on the other hand.............we are 1-2 away from being a very good team.

AHL for me….no more dickin around on larger ice, get him on NA ice, integrate him with his future teammates and systems.
1 full year in Laval, no exceptions, same with Mailloux.
He should play in Laval. Needs to adapt to the smaller ice surface.
