Looks like you have quite overshot your Dahlin-valuation

There is absolutely no way anyone is trading Pastrnak for Dahlin

Dahlin+1st+1st might be closer.

 There isn't a single asset in the league worth Dahlin + 2 1sts, including McDavid.

Show me what Draisaitl does away from McDavid

Led the playoffs in scoring in 2016 up until being eliminated and now 1st in the NHL in p/gp over the past month while being separated from McDavid... outscoringMcDavid since being separated... your turn...STAY ON TOPIC.

This is one of those ones where you can't come to a fair offer because for the players you'd be asking for in return, those teams wouldn't want to part with them either. It would be like a Pastrnak vs. Draisaitl thing, and neither team would do it.

Nylander+Sandin or Liljegren+Kappy or Johnson or Kerfoot.

Bruins get a player who can create on his own in nyalnder. They get a young up an coming blueliner and a middle 6 player of there choosing that bests fit there needs.

MacKinnon, Mathews, McDavid, draisaitl, eichel, kutcherov, Crosby, petterson, there you go..another 10 or so we could name... remember he is a product of playing with 2 other really good players on what is the best line in hockey. On another team is a top 6 .
Is that why he has 10 more points than one linemate and 31 more points than another? Hes a product of them?

Pastrnak is as good a passer as he is scorer. He's untouchable unless a SUPERSTAR Centre is coming back ie Mackinnon/Draisaitl/Eichel/Matthews (Leaf fans explode in 4,3,2,1)

In other words there is really no trade possibility involving Pastrnak. This thread is just silly.

Leafs already have a better score in Matthews. Leafs would say NO. They need back end help
See, it's often the inability to resist putting that last blob of paint on the canvas that ruins a masterpiece.

You were on your A+ agitator game for a long while. The "top 6 player" was magic in concert with your other statements. Had enough people thinking you were serious and therefore willing to engage and bite at the lure. It was excellent work.

But now you have to ruin it all by your ALL CAPS assessment that Leafs say NO to giving up a possible prospect, some pocket lint, a 50 cent piece, and a paperclip for a superstar.

It was good while it lasted, nice job. :thumbu: Think you jumped the shark on this last one, though.

Would you trade Matthews with a 42% salary retention (to bring it down near Pastrnak's 6.66m) for a package like the above? Because THAT'S what you are saying.

This is an insult.

Vancouver
that's a strong offer
Quinn Hughes looking like a #1 D & Boser is 1st line winger .

I'm not saying Pasta isn't worth a piece like Hughes and a replacement like Boeser, but Vancouver simply can't afford that. Pastrnak, Miller and Pettersson on a line would be a lot of fun to watch, and Bergeron, Marchand and Boeser would be a line that would still do a lot of damage.

Yeah in deals like this it comes down to "what's the point?". These star players only get dealt if something is "wrong" (Thornton, Seguin, Karlsson, etc). "Wrong" could be their contract status or a team just deciding they are not the right guy or whatever, but those aren't for fair value. A fair value trade of stars is so rare. Subban and Weber is the only semi-recent one I can think of.

Specifically in this deal... I mean Hughes and McAvoy/Carlo would be really fun. But then you are letting Krug walk. And you downgrade from Pasta to Boeser. And what is the point?
