They have an exclusive rights period before they reach UFA status, and I'm sure they'll be aware of other team's interest in them by that point.

if they have a good playoff run I think they stay but if they dont I could see the Bruins or Krejci/hall moving on

Couldn't be happier about it as I’m not rooting against him and my criticism is always about wanting him to play better since he’s good. He is and that’s great news for the team.

He has also mentioned before that he’d like to go back home and play after his contract. It was a few years back but still, I think he could be fine with turning it down.

I looked at what Chara took at the end of his time here. Different ages, different people but if there is one thing that is clear with this team....good players often seem to take less to stay here.

I’m hoping DK continues the trend.
