People can laugh.......but I still would take Ron and Dave over what we have now.
Ron over Fletch for sure.People can laugh.......but I still would take Ron and Dave over what we have now.

Hak or AV is like asking do you prefer electric chair or 21 gun salute into your head?
Hakstol: President of the "I don't know what to do with my hand in photos, so I stick it in my pocket" Club.
See, with that goatee and all...maybe this really is Alternate Dimension Hak that we're seeing here. A more sensible, competent version of the guy we knew before.
I can dream, right?
Hakstol gets hired, comes to Seattle, and we now have 100 degree weather. In Seattle. It's supposed to be 110!!! on Monday. This is not coincidence. Dave Hakstol is literally Satan.

“The god Pan was traditionally depicted with goat-like features, including a goatee. When Christianity became the dominant religion and began copying imagery from pagan myth, Satan was given the likeness of Pan,[4] leading to Satan traditionally being depicted with a goatee[5] in medieval art and Renaissance art.”
Hmmmm.
All I know is I've never seen them in the same room. And my face is currently melting.
Hak's facial hair situation makes me think he pulled the Mr. Snrub on the Kraken. All I know is I've never seen them in the same room. And my face is currently melting.
Fully expecting SEA to win a cup (with Hak at the helm) before us at this point because why the **** not
Hak's facial hair situation makes me think he pulled the Mr. Snrub on the Kraken.
Hakstol was infuriating in a lot of ways, but Flyers fans liked to exaggerate how bad he was and blamed him for all the team's faults. By all accounts, he was a very good assistant coach for the Leafs and transformed a mediocre defense into one of the best in the league.People can laugh.......but I still would take Ron and Dave over what we have now.
As a Caps fan I saw enough of his Flyers teams to understand why. The guy would ice fourth liners ahead of first liners, put together lines with guys whose skills made no sense together, ran a defensive system that seemed to be designed to actively create chances for the opponent, etc. He really was making them a worse team than they were on paper by quite a bit imo.
Maybe he's more sympatico with the new guys he got or maybe he learned some lessons or whatever, but he was genuinely hot garbage in Philly.
This is from a Caps fan on the main board thread.
