Hearing ANA will be putting Dany Heatley on waivers. Not a big contract, wonder if another team looking for scoring will take a chance.

Come on JR! At least put a claim in, if he makes it through waivers I will be shocked!

He's been dealing with a nagging groin issue. I think he still has something left. Would look great with Malkin!

Oh god no. Paajarvi is at least interesting and still has potential. Heatley is a washed up has-been that would add nothing to us.

Why not role the dice with Heatley. We're without Comeau and hornqvist for a few weeks. He couldn't be worse than some never-been from Wheeling.

In terms of skill the guy is basically Bill Guerin at the end. The downside is he's not a ****ing Allstar in the room. I won't cry if they claim him.

He has been pretty terribad since leaving Ottawa. Worth a shot. Worst thing that could happen is we just waive him again if he just blows in the wind like trash. Ala Zach Boychuk

I agree. Claim Priority: MPS #1, Dany Heatley #2

No matter what we need wingers not named Rust and Uher playing in the top-6...

It's worth a shot with Heatley. He's a former 50-goal scorer in his early 30s. Who knows, maybe playing here can re-invigorate his career?

Stick a fork in Heatly hes done. Glaciers move faster than him.

Paajarvi at least might still have potential although its fading fast.

Doubt he falls to us though.

Zach wasn't too bad of a player. He just couldn't finish.

2009 called, they want their Heatley back.

Seriously, hes done. Paajarvi at least is interesting. Also would have rather taken a chance on Roy over Heatley.

Heatley's legs are shot. He's over and done with.

I don't think much of Paajarvi, but it's a moot point. He won't make it to us unless he has a known substance abuse problem or something (pure hypothetical--not something that's, as far as I know, rumored).

Anyone who wants Heatley still doesn't get what this team's problems have been over the last half decade.

Honestly at this point what would it hurt to claim both? Not that my expectations are high, but looking at our wings what could it hurt?

It has nothing with not understanding that Heatly is toast. Merely that toast is better than burned toast.

He is burned toast.

The only way he would be effective now a days is if he were literally planted in the ice in front of the net. His legs are shot.
