This means one of three things is about to happen, we will sign a free agent, we will make a trade for a forward, or we will bring up another player for the third line. Im thinking we are just going to bring up another scoring type player for the third line.

Really confusing given Boucher's praise for him over the past week or so

"Coming into camp, he had to fight for his spot," Lightning coach Guy Boucher said. "There is a lot of competition right now in the organization, and not only did he have an amazing camp, every time I put him on the ice now in games he's been terrific."

"Labrie would have been great" against the Rangers, Boucher said, "big body, big team. But a guy like (RW Dana) Tyrell has been unbelievable. I hate to make other people pay just so the other one gets a share of the pie. I try to look for some excuse before I do that, but I don't have any."

Dana Tyrell was scratched after playing four straight games and getting his first goal, but not because he did anything wrong, Boucher said. In fact, Tyrell, 13 months since a second surgery on his right knee, looks quicker and stronger than ever.

"A horse off the ice," Boucher said. "He's one of the strongest pound-for-pound players we've got and one of the most dedicated individuals."

I'm really confused as to why we would keep Labrie up and waive Tyrell. I can see a place for Nacho here, but Dana has actually earned it so far.

Feaster claims him, calling it now.

I don't see why this has happened, Tyrell is better than Labrie or Lee, why him?

Hell Labrie would probably clear waivers, I dont think Tyrell will.

I'm sure Dana hopes he gets claimed. What an unfair move, the guy has been dynamite and brought speed and intensity every chance he got. I would be furious if I were put on waivers considering how well he's played.

Not happy. Not happy at all. I don't think it shows a whole lot that a dude who performs and works hard is waived over a dude who has not performed and has not been trusted to be in the line-up most nights. We better be making a move to bring someone in, or else this move makes exactly zero sense.
