I think part of this is also the Duchene is absolutely not expected to be anywhere near the teams leadership core. Outside is short , pretty succeful by the way , stint in Columbus he was allways counted on as one of the teams leaders. With the Stars there's like 10 guys on the roster that are more integral to the teams leadership. He's just a guy on the Stars and can just focus on playing exclusively.
