After winning one out of the last 11 games, the Leafs have decided to fire coach Ron Wilson. The GM of the team, Hockey7, issued a statement regarding his departure, "We would like to thank Ron for his time in Toronto. He has made a big impact on the development of our younger players, particulairly Luke Schenn and Nazem Kadri. However, with the performance of our team as of late, we have no choice but to replace him with a new coach who the players will respond to."

No replacement has been named yet.

The Colorado Avalanche Franchise have fired Joe Sacco as the Head Coach; and have hired 4 time Stanley Cup winning goalie Patrick Roy as his replacement.

The Coyotes just named Keith Yandle as their captain. With the departure of Shane Doan, Yandle is now definetly the cornerstone of the Phoenix franchise.

This means this guys isn't going nowhere. At least for this season.

Radim Vrbata and Adrian Aucoin were also named assitant captains.

Rumors out of Phoenix say that Schlemko and Labarbera could be had for a 2nd or a prospect...
