I'd rather him sign with Philly for 6 million a year and then they would end up trading him in 2 years. If they do that, he might win a Cup then, so I'm kindve torn.

Some one has to explain the anti Clarkson sentiment. I don't get it myself. Typically hard working guys who drop the gloves and develop a scoring touch are loved by their fan base. I understand not wanting to overpay him, or any player, but this all goes beyond that.

i'm more pissed at his agent than anything. there are rumors that he wants like 6 mil per year which is ridiculous considering that he was getting paid 3 mil per previously. and on top of that his agent has the guts to say what he said today? it smells a lot.

either way, with the demands and the PR, it looks ugly, and if he comes back, i don't know if i'm gonna like it or if anyone else is gonna. but that's just me

If his agent demands anything over 4 I'd hang up the phone immediately. Clarkson is not and never ever will be worth anything close to that.

He doesn't make players around him look better, he has no passing or skating skills, and he doesn't even fight that much anymore for a "gritty" player. There are better options in UFA if he wants to try and penny pinch with Lou.
