Agree there but the Yotes always seem to play us tough. I think its because their D can skate with our forwards. They can really control the play in the offensive zone from the back end.

They're monsters on the forecheck as well, I've been quite surprised with how aggressive they are this season. They seem a little more mistake-prone in their own end, which seems a bit uncharacteristic, but hey, I'm not gonna complain.

Seriously this reaction by Roy is understandable but unnecessary. What do they really expect from that defense?

Hell, they've done way more than expected of them because the Avs are in a playoff position with that D and that is really a miracle.

That's really not the case this year though. They're giving up a ton of shots and playing aggressive hockey. Not at all conservative.

Games against the Wylde, THOSE are snoozefests. I'm not saying watching Phoenixdale is a blast, but they're hardly the most boring opponent the Avs have faced this year.
