You work with what you have and hope it works...He really doesn't have a lot to work with.This falls on Benning to bring in better peices instead of table scraps.
Upgrades are needed everywhere in this line up...

So when Willie was here it was all his fault but now that Green is the coach it's all Benning's fault. Gotcha...

So which is it? The players on the team are horrid? Or is the coach the problem? Cause if it's both then why isn't the team last place? Oh wait it's because of the super rookie? Yea no wonder the Oilers are first place with Mcdavid leading the way...

It's mind blowing how people can watch this team and not see the difference that Greens brought to this team. Actual structure. The growth of the younger players. A compete. Every. Game. After watching WD, how can you not tell the difference from a competent coach like Green? It's like there's always something to shit about.

Keep in mind, no coach is going to be perfect. There isn't a coach out there that people are going to like every decision they make. AV would play guys like Glass and Rome more than they should've played. Doesn't mean AV wasn't a good coach. Same goes for guys like Babcock, etc.

You guys keep crapping about Green and drive him out of town, wait till we get a guy like WD again and watch every good player get traded away after years of not making the playoffs and dismal play.

Well if Willie was here Gagner would be the first line centre and Horvat wouldn't be on the 1st pp. So..

Have you kept track of what Willie is getting done in LA? I feel bad for their fans

Personally, I think firing Green would be counterproductive at this point. The real problem is clearly further up the chain.

But that doesn't mean playing Granlund in OT isn't idiotic. Smacking Gaudette and Goldobin back to the bench for any little thing while constantly sending inferior talent over the boards isn't Benning's work. And neither is playing Gudbranson and Pouliot over Biega and MDZ. Not that Biega or MDZ are good or anything, but they're still better than the alternatives.

Really? And you know this how? Oh wait you don't you just think you're clever by making up stupid crap like that. Far more intelligent people than you, folks who actually make their living at hockey, seem to disagree with you. Nobody keeps getting hired for top level hockey jobs without some ability. Willie has had two since he left the Canucks...
