Must get free google App.

It will tell you if you came in contact with someone with Covid-19 exposure. Among other things.

If you care about others you will go to Google Play, Apple, wherever, and download this HERE:

The technology does not track or collect any location data or personal data from your phone, only your phone’s proximity to other phones with the app enabled

  Like f*** it won't

I know all about contact tracing and fill in forms as and when needed but don't try sell me an app that won't be tracking my phones every move.

So? As if your phones and google and facebook and all of them are not already doing that.

At least this helps to save lives.

I have made it clear before.

I don't care.

They track me to sell things to me. I am not a moron. I can make logical choices whether to buy or not. As for theories about some further nefarious objectives, that is stupid. They would risk billions of dollars in revenue if it got out. Which it certainly would.

And even if some renegade idiots in one of the big companies did track me for more than selling me a few french fries, bring it on. You will be bored to tears. And if my porn habits interest you that much I don't care. You could have asked. I would gladly share.

Bit different between a company tracking you to sell you shit and the government tracking you.

I won't ask about the porn :)

Good call on the second part.

In this case though if it saves lives, I am fine with it. For all the reasons that I said above.

What an utter con Skip the Dishes etc are. Go to order some Thai and their base price is $2 more than in the takeaway itself. Add in delivery and tip and they want nearly $20 for something that costs me less than $12 in person.

Had a f***ing laughable Uber Eats situation. All i wanted was a hot chicken sandwich from chikfila with some grilled chicken bites. They accept the order... 4 drivers assigned to my order... 1 hour later they cancel my order.

I will not do that ever again.

That is a huge ongoing debate.

People in the UK are livid that the other RNA vaccine, from the Oxford Group, in the UK, will go almost entirely to the US first if approved. Same with a French vaccine.

WE PAID FOR IT. Almost entirely.

So how do you resolve that?

Ethically it is a tough question.

A purely Academic Question though.

Our tax dollars paid for it, contractually we get it first. Again, assuming approval.

My take is it should go to the health care workers and elderly around the world first (anyone most vulnerable). Most people won’t die but the elderly chances go way up and cuts their lives years short.

I thought everyone was sharing their data on COVID vaccines so wouldn’t a lot of countries be able to produce. Assuming they upped their facilities to be able to produce more. They’ve had quite a bit of time to do that

Door Dash was 10000x better for me. They've been good the 3 times i used 'em. Uber Eats is a f***ing JOKE.

Just my user experience.

Never had a problem with Uber Eats, thankfully. I tried ordering from one called Favor (I think it's just in Texas), and it's like Lyft where they send out a message 'hey does anyone want to deliver this order from this restaurant' . . . except nobody answers the order pickup request and Favor doesn't tell you nobody answered.

We only use Uber Eats for nice restaurants. You're better off with someone like Door Dash for a chain spot.

What is he on about? Covid's damage and risk doesn't track "in proportion to the global population." There are enormous countries where conditions are such that, for whatever reason (age, climate, population density, treatment protocols, common pharmaceutical usage), Covid has been a complete non-issue. What's Nigeria, with its 200 million people and 1k deaths going to do with the world's seventh-largest delivery of Covid vaccine, sell it to Iran at a huge mark-up?
