Could this be Tampa Bay’s year?

1 game doesn't make up for the debacle that has been the 1st part of their season.

3 points behind Florida in the division with 3 games in hand. 3 points behind Montreal with 2 games in hand. 3 points behind Carolina with 3 games in hand and 2 points behind Pittsburgh with 2 games in hand.

Friendly reminder Tampa has played the least amount of games in the league so far. Yes, they shit the bed playing games earlier, but they managed to keep right in the mix.

Also, Toronto and Detroit in the same division have played 20 and 21 games respectively compared to Tampa's 16.

Fun fact: in the two recent years where Tampa was voted #1 favorite for the Stanley Cup by HFBoards (16-17 and 18-19), they won a combined total of 0 playoff games.

They were also voted the #1 favorite for the 19-20 season.
My face when a Sharks' fan tries to talk crap about Tampa's playoff performance...

they are getting really far from the playoff spot in a already really tight league.

Doubt they make it with boston/Mtl and Toronto/Florida pushing
We're 9th in P%, with only 5 of the first 15 games being at home (global series doesn't count). And this is with the team playing awfully so far.

Try again

Ima just copy pasta cause you don't read a lot.

MTL is on a winning spree and Price is freaking solid, good luck breaking Price.
Florida is winning again and is getting mentally stronger by the games ( see their history comaback)
Toronto will only get better with Marner coming back.

NOTHING shows Tampa Bay coming back up, and they won't displace Boston and Montreal for sure.
They will FIGHT, yes, but they don't have a guarantee spot, far from it.

Lol. So nothing about our team getting better after a disastrous start and being on a winning streak (and winning 5 of the last 6)? At least try and hide your bias. Montreal is barely ahead on P%.

They have a solid roster and are playing well, I have no idea what makes you think they wont finish first or second in that division

Toronto has played 4 more games than Tampa and is 2 points up. Montreal has played 2 games more and is 3 points up...That's insurmountable, call it a season, its wrap.

Kucherov for a conditional 1st in 2022.

I think this is the point of the season where the lightning go on a run. Before the over seas game I predicted in another thread that Tampa would win both games and then go on a tear. So far they’ve done exactly that.

Did you see how many games we have in hand? Montreal has been shit the last few years how in the world do you have them continuing what they are doing now without solid proof of their abilities. When TB won 62 games last year has a track record in the reg season. Im sorry I just dont know how you are coming to your conclusions without being biased on some level and not going by the proof we already have about these teams??

A tough regular season could be good for them - i'll take adversity any day over coasting through the season. Detroit after their record breaking 62 win 131 point year (losing to the Avs in the playoffs) only had 97 points the next year. But won the cup, and went on to win again the year after. Caps won the year after winning back to back presidents trophies, when no one was expecting it.

This thread is the definition of insanity. Don't give them anything until they actually prove everyone wrong. Regular Season Champs

Yes we have pretty much already won it. No other team is even close in talent. I feel bad for fans of other teams having to follow inferior teams knowing they have no chance to win it all.

They look to me like the early 00s Ottawa Senators... not a good sign. Regular season :thumbu: Playoffs
Elite skill with little grit. Toronto would get the best of them because of that.
