I am three episodes into the first season and I am already having trouble remembering who is who.. Its kind of turning me off of it to be honest. Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention though

Yeah, you have to pay close attention because of the volume of characters. That and repetition. Just keep watching and you should get the hang of it.
