You guys have to be aware of how difficult it is to trade for young defenders right? As Avs fans we've been through years of trying to do it at every sort of level with all sorts of assets.

Zadorov & Compher cost us O'Reilly. Girard, Kamenev, Bowers, etc cost us Duchene. Then we drafted three good ones in Makar, Timmins, and Meloche.

You guys probably should have drafted McAvoy, Chychrun, or Little grin in the last few years. Good luck with that.

Btw.. The OP is bad for Detroit.

Wings drafted the BPA, which in many cases were not DMen.

However, the 2018 selections were incredible. So jealous they really hit a home run with their Top 4 picks:

They had the best overall draft outside Buffalo with Dahlin.

Both Nyquist and AA are better than the two Aves players. Why would the Wings trade two of their biggest trade chips for 2 downgrades and a 2nd?
