Yeah obviously Bergeron was the sky as he is basically one the best 2 way players to play the game.
The hype to me it is too much, because I'm looking past just the numbers and weighing the variables of how his goals were scored or how he came across some of his points, sure...a point is a point on paper, but it doesn't tell the complete story many of the times (Ex. Dadanov not being the 30 goal player here, because if you watch the highlights, he was getting set up by 2 star players more often than not, same idea with Stone in Whites rookie year that we keep regurgitating. Some players make others better, White doesn't seem make anyone better, he's just there.
I've watched every game of his NHL career, and from reading this forum daily, I know you have too, it's funny how our views can be very different, which is totally fine, because its just our personal opinion. His current "2 line production" is very misleading, his play in general has been better than the previous few years and better than his start of the season. But he's still a passive player that struggles with puck possession in, winning board battles, winning draws, physical play, generating offense (which I feel falls into possession as he isn't the strongest puck handler or pass receiver, kills basic plays). I think that the bottom 6 of a teams lineup is critical of winning championships, I just don't see him being one of those guys you win with personally, because I don't think he's a hard player to play against.
