Another analytics darling for the Colorado Corsi Monsters. He’s gonna be a Jaden Schwartz type player in his prime imo but hopefully as a full time center.

That said, he’s versatile and I can see the Avs not wanting to immediately make him the fulcrum of a third line on a team with Cup aspirations unless he forces their hand. Some time in the AHL and/or with less responsibility as a winger should probably be expected. The Avs can be patient.

Agreed let him start with the Eagles. Looks like their offense is finally hitting a groove with Kaut looking great in all phases and Foudy putting up solid numbers for an OHL teenager and some good vets like Tynan. No rush with Newhook please.

Foudy does look very good for a baby playing in the AHL. Ambrosio had a nice year at BC. Sakic figuring out this draft thing.

Weird cap hit. Capfriendly says only 50k in performance bonuses this year, before jumping up to 850k in years two and three. Then 875k salary this year before jumping to 925k. Didn't realize you could structure contracts like that. I guess whatever that 50k bonus is for can be attained easily enough that he's not out of money, but it deflates his cap hit ~54% of a slide.

How exactly do they come up with salaries? Cole Caufield was drafted 1 spot before Newhook but makes 20k less. You would think both would just get whatever the maximum you could pay them
