I recall when some people on this board were discussing how MacKinnon was not a center (a few years into his career), but perhaps he could be a first line right wing if things worked out.

I bring this up on occasion as a number of posters have strong opinions on players and they voice those opinions with emphatic certainty. Sometimes they are right, other times they can be comically wrong in retrospect.

Development is certainly not linear. But we were having the same conversations with Mack. And rightfully so.
