Keller's improvement has nothing to do with his stats, and everything to do with how he plays the game now. No comparison between last season and prior seasons regardless of how many points he put up. He was a difference maker on the ice regardless of whether he had any points.

It's pretty obvious who watched Keller on the ice and who just looked at his stats.

He wasn’t the same guy. If he switched his number to 13 no one who weren’t watching prior would know who he was. Completely different player in how he approached every aspect of the game

Exactly, so much recency bias even though we’ve seen players we like to elsewhere and not succeed. We saw Dvorak have an awful year and wouldn’t help us in the slightest if we brought him back, yet some people are still so upset that we traded him.

It’s like Yandle all over again, where it always seemed like people were always campaigning to bring him back just for 2012 nostalgia, despite it never really making any sense
You know that Dvorak had his best point-per-game season yet thus past season … right? Had he not gotten hurt, he was on a 48 point pace. The guy is the ultimate in slow and steady progress of improving his game. If he stays healthy this year I expect him to top 50.
