Oh man, DMac, Kopecky, and Fitzgerald as a 4th line would be so shutdown.....and man Ray Sheppard had some soft hands.

Gudbranson and Carkner would be a cranky D pairing lol

For what they did as a Cat or in their prime that ever wore the sweater?

Non Bure...if the first, Olli. If the latter, Kovalev quite easily.

If we can't take Pavel, I'll take Valeri.

but in all seriousness, Mellanby is probably the best fit considering how desperate this team is for a top 6 winger.

Svehla or prime Jovo would be other solid choices just to make a scary good D core.

OR

take the Beezer and have the best goalie combo of all time

Surprised there isn't more Olli love here.

38/39 goal seasons back to back - good power play scoring.

Yes, he didn't go out in the best way, but how many people in the history of this sad sack organization have?

Olli would actually be a better fit with this team than the "lurk at the blue line" Bure that played on the Panthers (I'd take the guy who played the '94 playoffs in a heartbeat - the guy could play defense when it suited him)

Holy ****, in their prime, you are all nuts not to take Kovalev after Bure.

And It's Not Even Close

For our PP woes?

I'll take Larionov over Kovalev

Yeah, why take the best hands/wrist shot ever when you can have someone who never got more than 21 goals in a year? Do we really need another passing specialist for this team?

LMAO like I said, AINEC. Well, Dino, but still no brainer for me.

Because "The Professor" is an awesome nickname for a hockey player. He had a slightly higher points per game through their careers, and wasn't known for being lazy sometimes.

Anyone that wore the Panthers jersey...Gary Roberts.

I'd take his 53 goals, 90 points and 207 penalty minutes. He's intense and would fit very well with the current Panthers play style. I think it's the choice other than Bure.
