Shero needs to show his family that he has a a future with NJ. Make a few calls and offer encouragement. Offer him an ELC this offseason if he wants it. My guess is he will return to school but you maintain a strong relationship that way.

Prospect week in review.

New Jersey Devils Prospect Update: 2/26/19

Highlights:

Boqvist signed an extension with his Swedish team, but by the sound of it, if he signs with us he can come over. Now does this pertain at all to his willingness to play in Bing?

Schmid just keeps rolling along stopping 34 of 36, in 1.5 games. Made a relief appearance in one, which suggests the starter that night got the hook. Schmid has been worlds better then every other goalie on his Lancers squad.

Pakilla, in 3 games with 4 goals and 31 shots. Leads the league with 36 goals in 46 games, next closest guy has 27. 5th in points in the league so def more of a shooter then a passer, but that is OK by me. Article points out that he is ready to move on from that junior league. But to where?

Interesting to see where each of these guys play next year.

but the sample sizes are prob so huge that the numbers don't make sense. there are a ton of scrubs (tedenby, josefson) that drag it down

Huge night for Boqvist with 1g2a, all ES. He is now tied 9th in points in SHL. Oh, and he's doing this on a bad team. I would be very surprised if he doesn't make the team, he is a very good hockey player. Unless Shero goes bananas in free agency.
