Absolute zero risk contract. Delia had been unreal since being called up. Went from ECHL to NHL in about a year. Love that we got three years out of him especially not knowing what will happen with Crawford this allows maximum flexibility to explore other options if he doesn't pan out in either a starter or backup role. If he takes over the starter role then it's going to be a laughable bargain

Not going as far as to say that Q had an equal share of voice in personnel moves but if anything it's clear Stan at least operated in a way that much of his past decisions were influenced by what Q wanted and Q preferred

No. He’s most likely who they think their future #1 is...although they probably considered expansion draft for a “if he doesn’t pan out” scenario when making it 3 years

this is a SAFE signing for the goalie position. still alot of unanswered question about Delia, but the main one is, the org could not let him go, period !!!

the off season and next yr will need to sort themselves out, but with ref to the goalie position, Delia will show if he is truly a #1 goalie or at best a backup.

as a fan of the Bhawks, i love this signing.

Panarin isn't coming to the Hawks, as they're going to have to spend 12-16M of their available capspace in 2020 on Strome and DeBrincat. The downside of Strome living up to 3OA status is that they don't get Panarin back. If they moved out Saad and Anisimov, that would get it done but it would also gut their 3rd line.
