Checkers getting STOMPED by Bridgeport tonight, 5-1 in the 3rd, 5 goals on 22 shots...guess who's in net?

Team has been struggling mightily lately, even in their wins they've been at least moderately brutal
Card board Cutout was in net? or was it his less useful teammate We'll skate all night with 6 skaters on the ice? :sarcasm:

One game and Darling drops to a sub-0.900 sv% in the AHL. At least we don’t have to hear any more dumb jokes about how good his AHL numbers are.

Checkers win 3-1 but my what a fugly game to witness. First period was solid, good chances, good effort...rest of the game was a garbage fest by both teams. We had a 5 on 3 PP and were holding every pass, their guys never had to move, we got a favorable bounce and goal...Geekie single-handedly sniped another, but even with 2 goals the PP was pretty brutal to watch. Somehow got an ENG after failing on a 2 on 1 pass with nobody between our guys...still not sure how the f***ed that up lol. Ned's really the only reason we won that game. The single goal against was us failing a pass (shocker) directly to them for a breakaway.

They sent Booth instead, of course. They don't need his 1.89 GAA and .924 save percentage.

He’s not even with our affiliate the Everblades either. He’s on the Reading Royals. Which he hasn’t played too well at. Potentially hurting his development because we gotta have Darling in Charlotte...

But his AHL stats are promising, though small sample size.

This year in 7 games he has the 1.89 GAA and .924 sv %

Last year in 4 AHL games he had a 1.60 GAA and a .941 sv%z

This is where a good old football loan situation would make sense. "Carolina Hurricanes loan G Scott Darling to Eisbaren Berlin."
He could do A LOT worse than being loaned to a team in Berlin. Probably not a great city for someone trying to stay sober though.

The new KHL team in China is probably a better fit for Darling.

Well. There is the SPC. I don't think it's said anywhere that the player has to agree to the Loan to a different country, though usually it's the overseas prospects on Sliding ELC getting loaned to their domestic league.

11. It is mutually agreed that the Club shall have the right to Assign or to Loan this SPC, and the Player agrees to accept and be bound by such Assignment or Loan, and will faithfully perform and carry out this SPC with the same purpose and effect as if it had been entered into by the Player and such other club.

It is further mutually agreed that in the event that this SPC is Assigned, or the Player's services are Loaned, to another club, the club shall by notice in writing delivered to the Player advise the Player of the name and address of the club to which he has been Assigned or Loaned, and specify the time and place of reporting. If the Player fails to report to such other club, he may be suspended by such other club and no Paragraph 1 Salary shall be payable to him during the period of such suspension.
