Solid defensive game.

Seems like the Oilers are purposely trying to play a less chaotic game.

Also if Vegas had acquired Dostal, I’d be seriously worried.
Not sure what it is about Dostal, but no one talks about him. He's stoned us 2 games in a row, and even in a 3rd period mop up role last game, looked solid. I have no idea as to how he does against the rest of the league, but he definitely has our number.

Nice to see Campbell play well. Not a ton of work, but he was solid when called upon. Kulak owes him a dinner for taking away a 2nd straight shutout with an absolute brain dead head scratching giveaway the led to the goal that Campbell had no chance on. Other than that, our defensive game was very tight.

100 for RNH!!! So proud of him. Best personal milestone of the season IMO.

15-2-1 since Ekholm was here and 11-0-1 in the last 12. Let's go!

Kings @ Knights tomorrow. Actually wanting a Kings regulation victory. If that happens and we can beat the Sharks on Saturday and the Stars beat the Knights on Saturday, we can be 1st in the Pacific.
If that happens, we're 1st in the conference, which likely clinches a battle of Alberta after Calgary beat Winnipeg.

I'm praying this is how it unfolds.

More advertising should just be the old “Head on” ad. At least it’d be to the point.

Imagine the Trojan or viagra ads?

I live in Millwoods. I smell curry cooking every minute of my life. I want my chips to be anything but that.

That said I actually like the cuisine, just not as much as other people around here. heh

Plus these flavor chips were always available here in the hood. Its all they have in the stores here. Try getting something like Salt and Vinegar chips here in the Millhood.

It really is too bad the NHL is such a 4th tier league. So many great things are happening and not a lick of it matters to the USA. All you hear there is college sports and how Joel Embiid is the NBA MVP and whatever.

Who f***ing cares, talk hockey.

Haha! I've lived in Millwoods all my life most of it next to an Indian family until I moved out. Could smell them cooking every day from noon until 8pm. Everything you said I disagree with other than that XD

This is the NHL's own fault. Other sports know how to market their leagues and stars. The NHL is run by regressive people who are out of place and time. I mean, just look at who they have running the DoPS. These are the unqualified people the NHL entrusts to make decisions. Not going to change until the country club old boys atmopshere and the nepotism that rules it is done away with. Which is... never going to happen.

Artificial parity and game management is no better than what the WWE does in its scripted fights. Designed in order for talentless garbage to flourish at the expense of its stars.

Went off the linesman, didn't it? Without the linesman there, it leaves the zone, no harm, no foul?

Oh yeah, the NHL is a mess run by dinosaurs. They only finally got back on ESPN when nobody cares about the channel anymore. There are more people who know who the backup for the Boilmakers is than Connor McDavid.

The one thing the NHL does right is the playoffs, even if you don't agree with the current structure. It's by far the best playoffs out of any sport.

The parity and game management is so awful. I've said it in other posts but I think us having a historic pp, hurts us because the refs dont want to call penalties and put the other team at a disadvantage.

Theres also so many games where the PP opportunities balance themselves out as well. Edmonton/Anaheim 1 PP a piece. LA and Edmonton 4 PP a piece. Edmonton/Anaheim 3 PP a piece. LA/EDM LA-3PP, EDM-2PP. EDM/VGS 3 PP a piece. In four of the five games - same number of PP. One less in one game. Why cant the NHL just call the rule book? I dont think in 5 games, the # of PP should be even (I should probably just be happy that we arent getting screwed more). Furthermore in the last 5 games, Edmonton averages 2.6 PP per game. Meanwhile you take look at a team like Boston, 3.8 PP per game. And we all know how many PP Colorado has got the last few years. Great sport but the league is a fraud.

I grew up in Millwoods. After several years away from the city, I drove around around Millwoods and was shocked on how little has changed. It was like the place was frozen in time. Only difference was that the trees were taller. That's in the Lakewood/Knottwood/Lee Ridge area. That being said Millwoods Town Centre has some future proposals that will defiinitely spruce up the area along with (dumpster fire of a delay) the running of the Valley Line LRT . As far as the Indian cuisine is concerned, I haven't found a good place yet. Not interested in Marsala chips and especially after that commercial.lol

Hockey only matters in certain US markets. Minnesota is big on their hockey. Original 6 clubs , especially when they're in contention matter. I'll throw in Philly , Pittsburgh , and to a lesser extent NYI and St. Louis. The rest are either poor, fairweather or small hard core only fanbases.

I'm not into basketball but watch some sport programs that cover the league. If I were a fan of the NBA, I'd be sick of the load management and softness of their players by now. Imagine buying a basketball ticket and the star player isn't playing that night because he can't play a back to back or has some weak ass injury. Talk about disrespecting your fans. I think the NBA are trying to address this to an extent in a new CBA where a player has to play 65 games to be considered for MVP or another award. Players are so spoiled though, it probably wouldn't make a difference. They keep disrespecting their fans and they'll end up being that 4th tier league.

I don't get what's so appealing about the NBA. No idea what there really would be to talk about either.

Usually the final 4 teams are effectively set in stone. Sometimes even final 2. I couldn't imagine following a league where you pretty much already know what's going to happen.

Meanwhile in the NHL I could see any team other than the Wild Cards coming out of the West, for example.
