Anderson has 25-30 goal scoring potential and can be signed for long. RNH is UFA next season.

replace 1st with 2nd and it’s fair

year after next season. So a year and a half of RNH, a top defensive prospect, and a 2nd? Unless there’s a josh Anderson that doesn’t have 1 goal in 26 games this is still absolutely crazy.

Its probably over-priced but CBJ isnt desperate to move JA.

for comparison, Tampa was willing to move JT miller for cap purposes and it only cost the Canucks a 1st and 3rd.

fair value for JA is probably 1st and Broberg

Just tracked down the actual discussion via a podcast version of the radio show and Staufer actually suggested their ask for Anderson would be:

  1. Ryan Nugent Hopkins OR
  2. Broberg or Bouchard and a 1st round pick

Research! It's really not worth doing basically ever.

He would be a good fit for Edmonton, but obviously not at that price.

Something like a 1st and one of those 2 D is more reasonable...and I think Edmonton could afford it.

Imagine J.Anderson on a line with McDavid and Draisaitl!

What? A 1st+ Broberg or Bouchard is reasonable for a guy with one season over 30 points and 4 points this season? That's nuts. I'd consider Broberg straight up, that's about it.

Josh Anderson has 4 points this year, please.

This is horrible.

He has been and still is battling an injury.

if you were trading for a Josh Anderson with 15 goals already this year at 25 yrs old and 6'3 it would cost waaaaay more than the proposed offer.

isnt Nuge a ufa this season? dont think he wants to stay in Edmonton.

If i was Edmonton i would do this as long as the 1st round pick is protected, but then again im not very high on Broberg or Bouchard, especially Bouchard.

Nope, 1 more year after this. Anderson is though!

Jesus Christ.

We need to sell Zack Kassian while the selling’s good. Apparently we could get a top 6 C, a first, and a top prospect for any old big slug with 15 goals

Once again Oil nation is hung up on draft picks and prospects rather than trading for a real life proven NHL power forward.

Of all the fan bases you'd think Oil nation would be the first to tell you to always go for the sure thing instead of potential celings etc.....

RNH + Bouchard + 2nd is fair for Josh Anderson? I love Anderson, but he has 4 points this year. He's worth a fraction of that.
He played with an injury and we value him a lot since we know what to expect from him, however at this price we would feel okay sending him to EDM

not even in the same league.

Kassian and his career high 15 goals and 29 points at 28 yrs old vs JA at 25 yrs old w. career high 27 goals.

Put JA with Mcdavid and he would score 40.
